Get Inspired: Pencil Sculptures

I've heard of making art with pencils, but I've never seen anyone turn their pencils into art. For over 25 years Dalton Ghetti has been carving the lead of pencils into phenomenal sculptures using nothing but his razor blade, sewing needle and sculpting knife. I find his work to be absolutely amazing - his talent is truly limitless.

Ghetti's sculptures will be on exhibit at Iona College from September 7 - October 7. For more info click here.

Throwback Thursday: Lite Brite

When I was a kid, one of my favorite toys was Lite-Brite. I remember I used to sit for hours making masterpiece after masterpiece with my pegs.

I came across the video below of the world's largest (and in my opinion dopest) Lite Brite image. It was created by an artist named Lori Kanary for Asics shoes in 2008 and was made with a total of 340,007 pegs.

When I get my mansion, I'm definitely going to give Lori a call to hook me up with some Lite Brite wall art.
